The route Starts at Prestatyn seafront and takes you along Offas Dyke Pathpath.  The half Marathon finishes at the summit of Moel Y Parc, above Bodfari, and The Marathon finishes at Moel Gyw summit above the Clwyd Gate Pass. This is not an easy race Details
4 May Staveley 18K Trail Trail Race and 18km Kentmere Trail Challenge courses follow well marked and marshalled footpaths and bridleways. The trail climbs out from Staveley above the Kentmere valley, before returning along the valley itself through ancient woodland, climbing Reston Scar before the descent back into Staveley village. 11 May Brecon Beacons Ultra, Marathon and 1/2 Marathon The marathon and ultra go towards the mountains and hills as they cross Pen Y Fan and the neighbouring peaks to make this a hard trail running challenge. Details
12 May Leeds 1/2 Marathon The route starts in The Headrow alongside Victoria Gardens, heads out of the city centre, takes in a section of the Ring Road and returns via Abbey Road and Kirkstall Road before finishing in Cookridge Street alongside Millennium Square. Details

26 May  Liverpool Marathon and 1/2 Marathon Part of the Rock N Roll series Liverpool Marathon Route
The start line is at Albert Dock, on the Liverpool Waterfront. From there runners will be directed through Liverpool city centre, passing many of the city’s iconic sites such as The Cavern Club, where the Beatles once played, and Goodison Park. Other interesting locations are Stanley Park, Anfield The Liver Buildings and Chinatownand ends at the Waterfront promenade.  Live music along the route.

15 June lakeland 5 Passes Ultra 33 mile ultra with 10,000 feet climb the cut off time is 14 hours so you require an average of just 2.5mph but still not an easy task Details/Entry
22 June Gibside Marathon This is an evening event it’s a multi lap race around the undulating grounds of Gibside, starting at 5pm. You must have a head torch if you plan to be out after 10pm. 31 Aug Skipton                      1/2 Marathon Trail The race starts with a climb over Sharphaw before dropping down to the picturesque village of Hetton.  On the return it climbs Sharphaw again then a 1 mile down hill run to the finish line. Entry
1 Sept.  Hornsea Running Festival Marathon, 1/2 marathon, 10 miles & 20 miles These races fill up quickly so if you fancy one of these you better enter now. Its a lovely scenic, traffic free out and back route, from Hornsea, through to Hull and back along the Transpennine Trail Entry Page
29 Sept. Pontefract half Marathon The start is at the Cornmarket, Pontefract Town Centre.  The course takes you out of Pontefract and into countryside through Ackworth, Wentbridge and Carlton before heading back towards the town, there’s a final lap of the centre before you finish Details
29 Sept. Redcar 1/2 marathon The race follows a  coastal route along the Yorkshire sea front. The course starts and finishes on Majuba Road. along two out and back stretches, turning at 3.5 and 10 miles. Details
6 Oct. Great Cumbria run Starting at The Sheepmount Athletics Stadium in Carlisle the race will again take competitors out through the city centre towards Wetherall before turning back and returning through Scotby Village, Rickerby Park before a grandstand finish back at the Sheepmount Details
