29 Sept Hart Village Half marathon The route starts and finishes in Hart Village taking in Castle Eden Dene, Durham Coast, Crimdon Dene and the Hart to Haswell Walkway.

29 Sept. Pontefract half Marathon The start is at the Cornmarket, Pontefract Town Centre.  The course takes you out of Pontefract and into countryside through Ackworth, Wentbridge and Carlton before heading back towards the town, there’s a final lap of the centre before you finish Details

6 Oct. Chester Marathon voted at the 2018 Running Awards.  With a spectacular start and finish at Chester Racecourse, the route passes all Chester’s iconic landmarks, then heads out into the Cheshire & North Wales countryside, before returning along the banks of the River Dee Details
6 Oct. Great Cumbria run Starting at The Sheepmount Athletics Stadium in Carlisle the race will again take competitors out through the city centre towards Wetherall before turning back and returning through Scotby Village, Rickerby Park before a grandstand finish back at the Sheepmount Details
12 Oct Langdale Horshoe 21K This race is over a rough, tough course with almost exclusively rocky and slippy ground. The weather in October is rarely ‘pleasant’ and the fells are often clagged in, making navigation difficult on a course with many pathless sections.  If you are at all unsure of your ability to complete the course safely, you should gain more experience and come back another year. 27Oct. Ennerdale 50K &25K Trail Both routes are undulating and low level encompassing a mixture of technical single track, forest roads and lakeshore trails. The path surface along the south side of Ennerdale Water is very rough underfoot and rocky, with a short exposed scramble around Anglers Crag. More Information and Entry

Brecon Marathon and Ultra Starting and ending at Talybont on Usk this is an excellently organised and marked route.  The Ultra consists of 2 laps whereas the Marathon is 1 ultra loop but deviate to take in the two highest mountains in S. Wales before rejoining the Ultra route. Make no mistake the Marathon is tough in 2018 around half the entries to the marathon failed to complete hence the 9 hr cut off Details

12 Dec McTarggot Trot 11 Miles (Darlington) The organiser puts you in a team of 3 with mixed ability. At the 3.5M point your first runner will stop. The remaining two will increase the pace and run to the 7M point where your second runner will drop off and your last runner will increase the pace again to the finish at the 11M point. 2 Jan. Grizedale 26 and 13 mile Trail The Grizedale Trail 13 & 26 take place from Grizedale Forest Visitor Centre, near Hawkshead in the Lake District. The half marathon course is the first 13 miles of the marathon route and takes place on good forest tracks. The full marathon distance runners will continue to complete an Eastern loop towards Windermere. The terrain is varied, with some road sections. This 13.1 mile course is very varied, running through fields, canal tow path woodland and the beautiful village of Calverley.

Ripon 10 Mile The Ripon 10M starts on Hell Wath Nature Reserve, goes up Whitcliffe Lane onto public footpaths through Mackershaw Woods and then down to the Seven Bridges where it turns sharply right to go over the bridges and on up to Plumpton Lane and the entrance to the deer park.
