24 August Wild West Bonanza 5K & 10K A scenic route on a mildly undulating, PB potential course your biggest problem may be making it to the finish line sober! 1 Sept  Middlesbrough 5K and 10 A flat and fast route which provides a great running experience FOR ALL ages and abilities! Details
1 Sept. Tholthorpe 10K The course goes out of the village in the direction of Flawith, before turning towards Myton-on-Swale – the quiet countryside and roads continue on the way back to Tholthorpe – it is downhill in the last 200 yards to the finish on the Village Green by the duck pond.” Although the map  has some “ups and downs” marked, when I did it back in 2003 I found it fairly flat . “Chip timing.” “Mug. 1 Sept. Wetherby 10K A fast, flat scenic route with 1,000 runners. The race is Gold-Graded by the British Association of Road Race and was the BARR National WInner of the Bill Reynolds Memorial Trophy 2014. The Wetherby Mini-Marathon (entry on the day only) is held alongside the 10K. Celebrate ‘A Cracking little Yorkshire run’ with the commemorative mug for all finishers. Details

Sept. 7 Poacher Run 10K & 5K Bit far to go but highly recommended. The Border Reiver Trail Series (BRTS) will be kicking off with the Poacher Run on 7th September 2019. There will be an option of a 10km or a 5km route, both staring and finishing in Kelso. Details

14 Sept. Castleton show 10k

From the Showfield, it climbs gradually to the crossroads, then heads  down to Dibble Bridge. 2k of gentle undulations between fields then out on the moor and descends to Hob Hole, where there is a ford – you can use the footbridge It then climbs steeply and summits at the 5k mark. after long steady descent to cross the River Esk at Westerdale, there’s a short sharp climb to the village of Westerdale, a flat and fast finish to the Showfield finish

The Venue is the Filey Country Park, after approximately 1K on road, the whole of the rest of the race is on the Beach where runners run to Hunmanby Gap where the turning point is and then return to Filey on the sandy beach then via the Brutal Sailing Club Hill back to the Filey Country Park to the finish line.

18 Sept Baydale Beck 5K (Darlington)

22 Sept. Run Northumberland Matfen 10K

A popular 10k run on local country roads around Matfen Village, Ryal and returning on the loop to finish on the outskirts of the village – walking distance to race registration and Matfen Hall.

22 Sept. Sheffield 10K

Runners will take a city centre route, starting in Arundel Gate, and  on along Charter Row then along Ecclesall Road, before skirting the edges of Endcliffe Park.it then continues along Riverdale Road, along Endcliffe Vale Road, close to the Botanical Gardens, then travels down Brocco Bank and back to the city centre finish.

22 Sept. knaresborough 5 mile rat race  The race will start at Knaresborough Cricket Club and take runners down the crag, along trails, through woods, and along the River Nidd before ascending back up the crag to the finish line. Approximately half the race is on tarmac. Details
22 Sept. Wiggonby 10K (Cumbria) Wiggonby 10k will start from Wiggonby Primary school taking you along the Country roads in the surrounding area. Mostly flat but with a couple of hills More information and online entry

29 Sept. Stoneybeck 10K (nr Penrith) another race likely to reach it’s limit of 200 well before the start date..The Stoneybeck 10k,  is a relatively flat road race around Cumbrian country lanes and will suit all abilities. Details and Entry
29 Sept. McCain Yorkshire Coast 10K Well known and popular race along the Scarborough sea front. Entries open 1st June and will fill up VERY fast Details

Part of the Hardmoors Race Series the Turnpike Trot 10k Trail Race and the Rabbit Run 5k Trail Race. Both have well marked and marshalled so no navigational skills are needed.

21 December Saltwell 10K The race uses an  undulating course through parkland and closed roads. It’s a 3 lap race finishing by the lake in Saltwell Park. First run in 1911, the Saltwell 10K is England’s oldest surviving road race. One of the better 10Ks I’ve done. Check out the finishers momentous   Entry

23 Feb 2020 Daleman 10K Trail This one will fill up very fast after entries are open. The race takes place at the Dalemain Estate near Ullswater in the Lake District. It starts and finishes in the court yard of Dalemain House  Details

4 April Run Northumbria Cragside 10K & 5K The races take place in the National Trust Cragside estate near Rothbury. The 10K includes a climb from 3.7K to 7.7K (climbing almost 100m) then coming back down to the finish outside the visitor centre. The 5K includes a gradual climb for the first 1K, then a loop within the estate before a nice 2K return coming back down to the finish outside the visitor centre. Event Website

31 May Humber Bridge 10K The race proceeds through the streets of Hessle for almost 2K before joining the East pathway of the Humber Bridge. After reaching the far end at Barton, the route then switches to the West pathway for the return leg, and retraces the road route back to Hessle. Entry
6 June Run Northumberland Bamburgh 10K The race starts at the Castle, then through Bamburgh, south towards Seahouses, back up the sea road and finishing at the Castle.  Entry to 202 not yet open 2019 information
