26 May Humber Bridge 10K The Humber Bridge 10K road race is organized by the City of Hull Athletic Club, which starts from Hessle Rugby Club on the north bank of the Humber estuary, proceeds through the streets for almost 2 km before joining the East pathway of the Humber Bridge. After reaching the far end at Barton, the route then switches to the West pathway for the return leg, and retraces the road route back, to finish at the rugby club. Details

Starting and finishing at Coniston Hall Landing Point, on the shores of Coniston Water the phrase Mini marathon seems like marketing spin by Lakeland Trails for this one.  It takes place at the time and place of their Marathon and 1/2 Marathon hence the term mini Marathon nevertheless the10K is a good route even if the term Marathon linked to it is dubious

26 June Run Northumbria Kirkley 10k
This is an undulating course on local roads looping through Kirkley and Ogle, finishing on the Equestrian Drive at Kirkley Hall.

30 June Run Northumbria Coquet 10K
Taking place on the same day as the Coquet half marathon and will finish at the Riverside Park with the half marathon finishers. The route is an out and back flat and fast course – jusing the last 5km of the half marathon route. The finish is the same as the half marathon

30 June Lindley 10K
The route rises from 218 mtrs at start to 286 mtrs at 3k,then 142 mtrs at 8k then back to 218 mtrs at the finish.
Lidget Street is closed to traffic for start and finish.

6 July InterStellar 10K Run (York) The event starts and finishes at the Askham Bar Park and Ride in York, where there is free parking and toilet facilities. Entry open now Details
7 July Kilburn 7 mile Road Race The race passes through historic Coxwold – Lawrence Sterne’s Shandy Hall on your left, the Norman Church on your right – the Cistercian Byland Abbey – the picturesque village of Oldstead – back to Kilburn. Tea and Sandwiches for all finishers, now that’s a nice touch

25 July Durham 10K and 5K The race starts and finishes at Palace Green between the Cathedral and Castle. Route is along Durham’s cobbled paths Details
28 July Redcar 5k & 10k road race This is a new event on a flat fully closed road circuit in Redcar Town Centre. It will follow the thrilling Redcar Triathlon which will take place earlier in the day. The circuit that will be used is the same 5k circuit as  used for the triathlon bike section taking in The Esplanade, The Crescent and a circuit of the Redcar Cricket ground. Details
28 July Run Yorkshire Ryedale 10K and 5K This race starts and finishes at Ampleforth College and uses roads and tracks within the estate, lending itself to a great traffic free route for runners. The 10k is 1 lap of the estate Details

4 August Ray Harrison Memorial 10K Road Race Final race of the Billingham Marsh House Harriers Series.  It’s local, well organised and enjoyable. Details
10 August Gateshead 10 K Trail The Gateshead Trail 10k that winds through the Derwent Walk Country Park is a fast and scenic race, with only a few inclines.  All the paths are also well maintained so although it is a trail race the ‘off road’ sections of path are hard packed and easy to run on.  Details

17 August Run Durham Dalton Park 10K and 5K Starting in the Dalton Park Shopping Outlet, this fast 10km route uses the Shopping Outlet and a disused road with a small climb at 1.5k and a 1.5mile trail path. Details

1 Sept  Middlesbrough 5K and 10 A flat and fast route which provides a great running experience FOR ALL ages and abilities! Details
1 Sept. Wetherby 10K A fast, flat scenic route with 1,000 runners. The race is Gold-Graded by the British Association of Road Race and was the BARR National WInner of the Bill Reynolds Memorial Trophy 2014. The Wetherby Mini-Marathon (entry on the day only) is held alongside the 10K. Celebrate ‘A Cracking little Yorkshire run’ with the commemorative mug for all finishers. Details

14 Sept. Castleton show 10k

From the Showfield, it climbs gradually to the crossroads, then heads  down to Dibble Bridge. 2k of gentle undulations between fields then out on the moor and descends to Hob Hole, where there is a ford – you can use the footbridge It then climbs steeply and summits at the 5k mark. after long steady descent to cross the River Esk at Westerdale, there’s a short sharp climb to the village of Westerdale, a flat and fast finish to the Showfield finish

15 Sept. Filey Beach 10K

The Venue is the Filey Country Park, after approximately 1K on road, the whole of the rest of the race is on the Beach where runners run to Hunmanby Gap where the turning point is and then return to Filey on the sandy beach then via the Brutal Sailing Club Hill back to the Filey Country Park to the finish line.

Runners will take a city centre route, starting in Arundel Gate, and  on along Charter Row then along Ecclesall Road, before skirting the edges of Endcliffe Park.it then continues along Riverdale Road, along Endcliffe Vale Road, close to the Botanical Gardens, then travels down Brocco Bank and back to the city centre finish.

22 Sept. knaresborough 5 mile rat race  The race will start at Knaresborough Cricket Club and take runners down the crag, along trails, through woods, and along the River Nidd before ascending back up the crag to the finish line. Approximately half the race is on tarmac. Details
29 Sept. Stoneybeck 10K (nr Penrith) another race likely to reach it’s limit of 200 well before the start date..The Stoneybeck 10k,  is a relatively flat road race around Cumbrian country lanes and will suit all abilities. Details and Entry
29 Sept. McCain Yorkshire Coast 10K Well known and popular race along the Scarborough sea front. Entries open 1st June and will fill up VERY fast Details
29 Sept Zetland 10K This is a provisional date and the race is part of the Redcar running festival.  The route is part of the 1/2 Marathon course along the sea front Run Britain Entry Page
6 October Penshaw 10K The race claims to have everything you would want in a Trail Race. Great views set on lovely trails. The route as undulating, and is brutal for a 10k.  Finisher get Medal and choice of buff or mug  Details
