3 Nov. Bradford 5K and 10K  The 5K loop of Bradford city centre takes in City Park, Bradford University, the Broadway and Little Germany. One lap gets you 5K, two gets you 10K More Information and Entry
3 Nov Cragside Winter 10K A popular 10k race at the National Trust venue. The course includes a 4km climb from 3.7km to 7.7km (climbing almost 100m) then coming back down to the finish outside the visitor centre. Race Webpage

10 Nov. Run Through Heaton 10K & 5K (Manchester)

The Run takes place within the grounds of the Heaton park.  Unusually the organisers offer a full refund of entry fee if you can’t run through injury or the race is cancelled for some unexpected event

10 Nov. Old Mother Shipton Shuffle 10K A multi-terrain race set in the Crimple Valley area of the spa town of Harrogate.   More information and Entry Page
10 Nov. Dalby Dash (Pickering) The race starts outside the Visitor’s Centre and you run up a firm tarmac road (Housedale) to the top of the only hill in the race (a steady slope!) – first man and woman to the top gets a special prize. Then along the top of the rigg on gravel trails and a long and speedy descent down to the beck. Then a ‘dash’ to the finish line back at Low Dalby.  Race Full More Information and Entry

21 December Saltwell 10K The race uses an  undulating course through parkland and closed roads. It’s a 3 lap race finishing by the lake in Saltwell Park. First run in 1911, the Saltwell 10K is England’s oldest surviving road race. One of the better 10Ks I’ve done. Check out the finishers momentous   Entry

23 February Daleman 10K Trail This one will fill up very fast after entries are open. The race takes place at the Dalemain Estate near Ullswater in the Lake District. It starts and finishes in the court yard of Dalemain House  Details 
7 March Old Colliery Canter 5 mile (Barnsley)

5 mile lapped course in the South Yorkshire Park country park of Rabbit Ings, with good trail path all the way round and one ‘generous hill’ this is a great little event.

4 April Run Northumbria Cragside 10K & 5K The races take place in the National Trust Cragside estate near Rothbury. The 10K includes a climb from 3.7K to 7.7K (climbing almost 100m) then coming back down to the finish outside the visitor centre. The 5K includes a gradual climb for the first 1K, then a loop within the estate before a nice 2K return coming back down to the finish outside the visitor centre. Event Website

31 May Humber Bridge 10K The race proceeds through the streets of Hessle for almost 2K before joining the East pathway of the Humber Bridge. After reaching the far end at Barton, the route then switches to the West pathway for the return leg, and retraces the road route back to Hessle. Entry

20 June Hartlepool Promenade 5K The Hartlepool route is a single lap course along the promenade towards Seaton Carew, turning part way down before continuing up Coronation Drive and turning again at the start of the Marina path.
