we are having our normal Xmas get together after training at Loftus
Cricket club. Bring eats for about 8.30 pm,all are welcome. Andy

Members' Notes from Andy re Poultry Run:
1. If possible could all club members attending the Poultry Run on Sunday bring items for the raffle prizes.Thankyou
2. After the Race on Sunday I have arranged for sandwiches and chips in The Mars Inn about 1 pm , all club members are welcome.

For all those involved in the schools and county x/c we are leading upto a very important time of the season, so even though it's Xmas and cold don't let your training suffer, if you want any help contact me.

We have allocated one of the London Marathon places and we have one other place available. We have decided to open it to any member who wishes to run the 2009 event. Can any one who is interested please contact Catherine before Xmas and we will have a ballot at the social run on Sunday 28th Dec..

Both Angharad Owen and Lewis Rodgers scored their maiden victories in the 3rd league fixture held at Flatts Lane Guisborough.They were joined by Grace Rodgers who won the u/15 girls race. All three of them had raced at Gateshead on Saturday and for them to produce such a good result was a brilliant performance! Results here... Report here

Inter-Counties Track Meeting, Hull,
Grace Rodgers carried on with her good form in the schools with a victory in the 800m where she was representing Yorkshire. Her winning time was 2-18-32

New PB for Steve Hepples 49.09 UK ranked No.1
Stephen Hepples, smashed his 10 mile road race PB on Sunday by 13 seconds, when winning the Sale 10 mile road race at Manchester. Full story here

Congratulations to Nicola Kent who was first female in the Redcar Victorian 10k with a PB of 41.11 - 20 secs off her previous best. Also well done Joanne Abbot who also got a PB with 43.01 - 50s off her previous and 3rd lady. Also taking part were Dave H. Robert H. and Rob W. who also won prizes.
