Entries are open for the Silksworth 5k and Junior 2.5k road races.
A race superbly organised by Sunderland Harriers & A.C., a race set up in 1993 by our ex-chairman, the late Kevin Carr, who loved nothing better than watching athletes of all abilities get the best out of themselves.
The race is set out on a brand new super quick course.
All abilities are welcome
The race incorporates both the Northern Athletics and North East Masters Athletics Association (NEMAA) 5K road championships.
Both individual and team championship medals are up for grabs.
Brilliant cash prizes for the first 3 athletes in both the men’s and women’s races, cash prizes for the age-group first place winners.
A trophy will also be awarded to the first male and female overall race winner.
