Hi! We are Sarah & Sara, you might have seen us around at Cross Country this season having been persuaded to join L&W by Sue and Carol. Thanks everyone for making us so welcome!

In April we are taking on the challenge of running the London Marathon to raise money for the National Deaf Children’s Society. NDCS do amazing work with deaf children and their families to help understand deafness and the impact it can have on children’s lives, and to ensure that every deaf child is given the right access to support to help them overcome any barriers to education or society.

Running a marathon isn’t something we do very often by the way…. this will be Sara’s first one and only Sarah’s second. We have been training hard since the beginning of the year, trying to fit our lower mileage runs in during the week and long runs on a Sunday. Last weekend we both ran the 20 mile race at Locke Park which was a relief to complete as it feels like a good benchmark to have achieved in our preparation! It’s been challenging fitting the training in around our families, jobs and life in general but hopefully will be all worth it when we cross the finish line! We’ve been working on our finish line pose and came up with the Loftus and Whitby version of the Mo-bot!

If you would like to sponsor us in our fundraising efforts for NDCS then any contributions would be hugely appreciated! You can make a donation on our charity page: https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/sarah_and_sara_runVLM2019

We will give you a wave on the telly!
